What we keep
If you sign in: your email address, your plan and any add-ons you have bought, the lakes you star, the spots you save and any note you write on them. If you are a guide, also the business name, logo and booking line you enter for your trip reports. Nothing else — no location history, no record of where you fished.
If you don't sign in, nothing is stored about you at all. Your last spot and recent searches stay on your own device, and clearing the app's data clears them.
Your location
When you ask for it (the locate button, or Follow My Boat), the app uses your phone's GPS to show you on the map and to look up the facts for the water under you. Your position is used on your device and in those lookups only; it is never saved to your account or kept as a track.
What we never do
- Sell or share your information.
- Feed your saved spots or notes to RIGLOGIC. A saved spot is a place, not a forecast; a note is yours alone. The odds are worked out the same way for everyone, signed in or not.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
Plans and purchases
Pro, Guide / Tournament, Founding Angler and the Data Sheets are bought through the App Store or Google Play, which handle your payment; we never see your card. RevenueCat keeps the record of what your account owns so a purchase follows you to a new phone; it sees an anonymous app id and, once you sign in, your account id — not your name or email. Subscriptions renew through your store account until you cancel them in the store's settings.
Trip reports (Guide / Tournament)
A trip report is built on your phone from the trip's facts, the words you choose and the photos you add. When you email one, the report and its photos are sent through Resend to the addresses you type, with a copy to you. The photos are not stored on our servers after the email is sent, and nothing in a report is used by RIGLOGIC.
Who handles it
Sign-in and storage are provided by Supabase; sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Both see your email address for that purpose only. Map, weather and lake data are fetched from public sources (USGS, OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, Esri) using the location you are looking at, not your identity. Purchases in the RIGOLOGY tackle store (physical baits, opened in your browser) are handled by Big Cartel under its own privacy policy.
Delete your account
In the app: open the account sheet (the person icon) and tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT. The account and everything in it — favorite lakes, saved spots, notes — is erased at once.
By email: write to admin@rigologyfishing.com from the address you signed in with and ask for deletion. Your account and all of its data are removed within seven days, and we reply to confirm.
Not a navigational aid
Depths and outlines come from public surveys and estimates. Never rely on them to run a boat.
